BLUE SWAN

I’ve just finished this drawing of a Blue Swan, it’s taken me 4 weeks and I used a combination of water soluble pencils, cosmic water colours and various embellishments to create it. The idea? Well so often my artwork is inspired by music, songs and stories and this one is no exception. With the new debut album from an Irish Band playing Indie,...

**Indigo Children it’s your time to shine!**

It’s been ages since I’ve posted on here, but today I felt compelled to  share this video of a young friend of mine who has a dream of being a professional singer for musical theatre. An Indigo, with many creative talents, her love of singing and acting make her sparkle, in fact she’s a real star in the making.  Amber often writes her own...

Senses and meditation, a personal reflection

Such a beautiful sunny, warm spring day I decided to sit on a bench overlooking my garden to meditate. It’s always interested me how much we take our senses for granted, but when I meditate all those senses become heightened, like I can almost taste the air. I become more aware of my body and where each part of me ends and something like the...

Hold in your minds, a healed, beautiful Japan

All the pictures and news reports are showering us with images of devastation and damage in the country of Japan. It always hits me how ‘colour’ vanishes in areas where nature has reclaimed it’s power. These images ‘get the ball rolling’ for informing people all over the world, and for triggering feelings of compassion for...

Wisdom-Create joy!-”We are each the creator of our own reality”

So many things to read and listen to on the internet that sometimes things get blurred one into another, but now and again there’s something that jumps out because it resonates through every cell of your being. So, what has grabbed me this week you might wonder, well I have to say it’s a guy called Story Waters. I’ve listened to Story...

The 11.11.11 Gathering

I’m sharing this video as I want to spread the awareness of the massive shift in consciousness that the Earth and it’s inhabitants can expect soon, already the changes have begun. I don’t believe it’s a ‘doom and gloom’ end of the world, but I do believe that we have a choice to be honest with ourselves in recognising who we truly are,...

Have you managed to capture that raven black tone in paint? You know the colour, it's made up of green, blue and deep purple. Emotion: smile.gif I tried using an undercoat of metallic colours with ink washes over them. Looks lovely in certain lights but it just doesn't capture well on camera. Emotion: smile.gif

I would love to see that (restored or battered) as I love crows, magpies and other corvids (I've worked them into a few of my pictures. Emotion: smile.gif ).

Only just noticed you live in the UK, and not too far from me either!, well. 3hours 30minutes or so, but thats not far! aha.

Family relative used to live at Swaffham?, I remember the place vividly as when he took me out for a ride we went past signs for a town called "Diss", I was like "What a silly name." Hehe

Accepted your friendship! Emotion: smile.gif

It does show through in the beautiful use of colour in your work. Emotion: smile.gif
Most of the pictures which I find appealing on a visual level usually have either bright vivid colours or excellent use of colour (I'm also attracted to bright, shiny, sparkly objects, too. Emotion: biggrin.gif Must be related to a magpie on some branch of my family tree. Emotion: smile.gif ), which is what caught my eye about your work. Emotion: smile.gif

Thank you kindly.
I'm glad you like the colours as I always have trouble deciding on colour schemes, I'm much better at monochrome. Emotion: smile.gif

Well hello yourself. I think you have a lovely style and I look forward to seeing more.
Everything has a season so I do understand the lack of motivation at times and how frustrating it can be.
Let's hope the light passes over again soon Emotion: wink.gif
Have a great weekend yourself.
